About ICSS

Institute for Connecting Science & Society (ICSS) is an international non-governmental organization aimed at the development of relations between scientific organizations and civil society.

 

ICSS Mission

is to form, strengthen and deepen the links between science and society.

The function of the Institute is to promote the dissemination of relevant and advanced scientific knowledge by all available means.

The organization aims to create a platform for the expression of scientific opinions, including the opposite. ICSS essentially exists outside of formal and bureaucratic interests that can slow down or even destroy scientific research.

Sometimes important discoveries, entire scientific industries are in a situation where, due to political, financial and marketing considerations, the latest discoveries are not reported to a wide audience. At the same time, well-supported projects are usually produced by the so-called “mainstream”.  This trend leads to the fact that the public does not receive sufficient information about the opinions and conclusions of various scientists and therefore loses the opportunity for objective conclusions.

As a result of ICSS activities, platforms for direct and direct communication should be created.

ICSS Goals

ICSS activities are aimed at a variety of meetings, seminars, conferences, round tables, promoting scientific achievements. The range of ICSS tasks includes the organization of various public events and implementation of projects with the participation of experts from the scientific sphere. The Institute plans to create scientific and popular science films, websites, articles and other materials. As a result of ICSS work, platforms for direct and direct communication of representatives of different spheres of science, culture, politics and economy should be created.

ICSS Activities

– organization and holding of scientific, scientific,educational, cultural, educational, social and social events: seminars, conferences, round tables, festivals, exhibitions, discussions, street events, concerts, demonstrations and other events;

– production, installation and distribution of films, audio, video, television programs, printed and other materials focused on scientific, scientific and educational, educational, social, cultural and social purposes;

– development, creation and administration of websites, pages in social networks focused on scientific, scientific,educational, social, cultural and social purposes;

-study of public opinion on scientific, social, educational, educational, cultural and social events and analysis of the results;

-implementation, initiation and promotion of exchange programs in the field of education;

-assistance to scientific, social, educational, educational, cultural and social initiatives of the EU and Eastern Europe.
